I have been super poorly this week, but the world hasn’t stopped! A whole list of releases, new products and updates have arrived in time for Christmas!

The Usual Suspects with their excellent project to emulate the (in)famous 563xx series of dsp chips has released version 1.4.1 of their emulators. Available for the first time is the Nodal Red 2X which emulates the Nord Lead 2 series. As per usual, you will need to find the ROM image(s) to run this as they are NOT included for obvious reasons but it usually isn’t hard. V1.4.1 now creates various folders when first run meaning it is way easier to manage a couple of versions of the plugins. Very useful indeed – a great project that works really really well!
Ableton has released Live V12.1.5 with some nice improvements and some extras. Simplest difference is that you can now tell a VST3 from a VST2 😉

In the hardware world Behringer released 2 interesting products with the big announcement being the Wave which is effectively a modern PPG Wave 2.3 and here in the UK is available for a very reasonable £569 from Andertons (usually the best price in the UK for Behringer)

Then Behringer announced the JT Mini which is effectively a $100 dollar Jupiter ish synth in its micro series, but keeping the full size midi from the newer models (great addition)

UK Price is a pre-order at Andertons for £89, not bad at all!
